Food bank benefits from largest national food drive ever

Orillia’s Zehrs Food Plus and Derek’s No Frills are among the more than 1,000 Loblaws Co. Ltd. stores participating in what’s being called the largest national food drive ever.

 

All food items donated at the two Orillia stores between March 20 and April 2, 2009 are helping stock the shelves of The Sharing Place Food Bank.

Cash donations are to be shared on a 70-30 basis by the Orillia food bank and the Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB).
