The 5th annual Mac & Cheese luncheon marquee fundraiser for The Sharing Place was a tasty and inspirational SOLD OUT success. A crowd of nearly 300 business and community members enjoyed another gourmet dish and our speaker Joe Roberts – The Skidrow CEO.

The Sharing Place food bank is honoured to be one recipient of the W. Scott and Jean Tudhope Endowment Fund.
"On Wednesday, Tudhope and his wife, Jean, donated nearly $38,000 to 11 charities through an endowment fund with the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area. It was the first time the Tudhopes have granted from their fund."

Since opening in Orillia last March, Target Canada has demonstrated a strong commitment to our food bank. We have received an incredible 25,455 pounds of perishable and non-perishable foods to support our emergency food assistance, Kids Zone Brown Bag lunch snacks and Christmas Hamper programs. The Sharing Place is grateful for the $1000 award for our Christmas hamper program from the Community Foundation of Orillia and Area. Over 600 hampers were distributed to people in need within our community to promote dignity, inclusiveness and a traditional family get together.read»»
